Colombia is the third-largest producer of coffee in the world, behind Brazil and Vietnam. It is well known for the high quality of its coffee and about half of its exports come to the United States.
Excelso coffee beans are large, but slightly smaller than Supremo beans. This coffee is specified as E/P (European Preparation) meaning the raw beans are hand sorted to remove defective beans and foreign material.
Colombian Excelso typically has a citrusy flavor with medium body, rich acidity and a clean, sweet aftertaste. This coffee is offered in a medium roast.
