This coffee originates from Coopetarrazu which is one of the most important contributors to the economic development of the Los Santos region of Tarrazu, Costa Rica. Initially established in 1960, this cooperative today has over 5000 members, 80% of which are small producers with farms of 4 hectares or less. Coopetarrazu is known for its high production standards and consistency. Tarrazu coffee is grown at altitudes over 3900 ft in richly volcanic soil, producing a very hard, dense bean. This coffee has a snappy, clean flavor and notes are typically sweet and citrusy. You're sure to enjoy this high quality, medium roasted coffee.
