Organic Fair Trade Sumatra Mandheling
Perhaps the best known of the Indonesian coffees, Sumatra Mandheling is grown on volcanic mountain slopes in northern Sumatra. The mineral-rich soil combined with a unique "wet hulled" processing method results in coffee beans containing complex, earthy and spicy qualities. Small, family-owned farms are the norm here, though larger estates do exist. This dark roasted coffee is perfect for those preferring an intense, syrupy flavor.
