Starting as a General Store in 1898, The Stedman Corners Store was a favorite place to buy “Fresh Ground Coffee”
The Little Girl in the photo is Catherine Hewes the granddaughter of the original owner. Mr. Hewes is pictured on the left side of the porch. The store also served as a stagecoach stop from Westfield, NY to Pittsburgh, PA.
